Victoria University offers a one-year graduate diploma in Computer Science. Prospective students do not require background knowledge in either networks or security.

Master of Science in Computer Science - With a major in Computer & Network Security

Victoria University offers a Computer Security stream as part of the postgraduate studies in the School of Computer Science and Mathematics. Prospective students do not require background knowledge in either networks or security. The Master of Science is a two-year (16 study units) course providing graduates with the required knowledge and skills to work as professionals in networks and in security areas.

Graduate Diploma in Accounting

The objectives of the Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting include: • Providing an opportunity for students to gain technical skills and conceptual knowledge in financial accounting, management accounting, finance, auditing and assurance, commercial and corporations law, taxation, information systems, economics and quantitative methods essential for the professional accountant in today's global environment. • Developing generic skills commonly applied in practice and valued by employers and professional bodies including analytic, appreciative, personal and interpersonal skills. • Providing an opportunity for students with a Bachelor degree in other disciplines to gain entry to the accounting profession. • Providing local students with a shorter (8 unit) route to membership of CPA Australia or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

Bachelor of Accounting

The course is designed to prepare students for a career in accounting and the business world. It aims to meet the needs of graduates who wish to practice in government, private business or management consulting.

Master of Professional Accounting

The Master of Accounting course offers the opportunity for students to gain technical skills and conceptual knowledge in financial accounting; management accounting; finance; auditing and assurance; commercial and corporations law; taxation; information systems; economics and quantitative methods essential for the professional accountant in today s global environment. Graduates will develop generic skills commonly applied in practice and valued by employers and professional bodies including analytic, appreciative, personal and interpersonal skills. The course provides the opportunity for students with a Bachelor degree in other disciplines to gain entry to the accounting profession. Studies are more closely aligned to professional accounting requirements by reducing duplication of curriculum areas. The courses also offers flexible study arrangements in a vibrant environment.
