VU Sydney location
In 2007, Victoria University (VU) in Melbourne and Education Centre of Australia (ECA) in Sydney signed an agreement which will see ECA delivering the VU Graduate Diploma in Computer Science from 2008 at ECA’s premises in Sydney. This is an exciting new partnership which both institutions hope leads to further collaboration. Victoria University was founded in 1916 as Footscray Technical School and established as Victoria University in 1990. Currently there are more than 45,000 enrolled students, including over 8500 international students and over 4600 postgraduate students.
ECA is honored to host Victoria University at our ECA location in Sydney with the launch of Victoria Universities Computer Science Stream in AUG 2008. Victoria University offers a Computer Security stream as part of the postgraduate studies in the School of Computer Science and Mathematics offered in collaboration with Education Centre of Australia (ECA) at ECA’S Sydney location. Prospective students do not require background knowledge in networks or security.

Staff in the School of Computer Science and Mathematics have established international reputations for teaching and research in cryptography and security, with courses taught locally and overseas. The School supports a high teacher to student ratio, and aims to provide a friendly atmosphere conducive to learning. Staff supervise many research projects in security and cryptography, from Honours, through to Masters and Doctorate level.
