About the role

The Business Development Consultant/Officer is responsible for driving business growth of ECA Internships by generating new partnership opportunities within a variety of sectors. A key component of this role is to create targeted campaigns to strengthen Group’s brand and promote and develop internship opportunities within a variety of industries.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Qualifications relevant to the role in Business, Marketing, or similar Qualifications and experience
  2. Minimum 5 years of previous field sales experience in institutional sales preferably in the domain of Education
  3. Proven experience in administrative and organisational duties including document and record keeping

Skills:

  1. The Business Development Consultant must have a thorough knowledge of the various industries to support and work with Professional Year, as well as a general marketplace
  2. Identify potential new clients, draft proposals and “closing the deal”
  3. Ensuring that ECA Internships has sufficient volume and quality of placements available with host companies to meet the requirement of the ECA Group Internship Programs
  4. Writing proposals and specifications for Internships and presenting these to prospective host companies
  5. Working with the industry, internship consultants and student to support the ECA Internships department
  6. Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships and networks and participate in meetings and activities, which enhance relationships within industry partnerships.
  7. Develop new partnerships with industries, which would embrace new internships
  8. Generating leads, mapping sectors and targeting potential clients
  9. Developing competitive and project management strategies
  10. Strong ability to multi-task, work under presser and within a given time frame
  11. Strong ability to delegate and oversee projects
  12. Excellent problem solving & decision-making abilities
